SSI (Scuba Schools International) It arose from the passion of some enthusiastic divers who wanted to make learning to dive possible for everyone.
For over forty years SSI has been supplying diving teaching, training and certification materials to divers, dive instructors, dive centers and resorts around the world.
Since 1970, SSI has expanded to thirty Service Centers, is represented in more than one hundred and ten countries with more than two thousand five hundred International locations and has printed materials in more than twenty-five languages.
SSI is clearly a name that can be trusted within the diving community and we attribute that success to uncompromising standards and a focus on quality rather than quantity.
Since June 1, 2010, Scuba Schools International is one of the few training agencies to have obtained ISO Global Certification. Seven SSI Programs, five for divers and two for instructors, have been certified by International Standards. ISO-11121 for Try Scuba Diving, ISO-28401-1 to 3 for Scuba Diver a Dive Guide, ISO-11107 for Nitrox and 28402-1 and 2 for Assistant Instructor and Open Water Instructor.
In addition, SSI is a founding member of the RSTC (Recreational Scuba Training Council) and is present on all the most important national committees to ensure the interests of the diving community. SSI is without a doubt, the best alternative in diving teaching.
